December 2021, Worthing Lions on 13 week day evenings before Christmas accompanied Santa Claus who drove around some of the roads of Worthing in the Worthing Lions lighted van.
Santa was glad to meet many children who came out to meet him, some dressed only in jim jams and many with bare feet braving the cold December nights to take part in the magic of Christmas. These children, as are most children, are now looking forward to Santa coming at Christmas.
On one of the nights the Worthing Lion came out,
See the Greatest Hits Radio article written after they came out one evening to see and broadcast the Santa street collection with the the following statements captured by Adam Goacher of Greatest Hits Radio:
One mum said: "It's wonderful, it's so lovely to still have this going on. I'll remember this for years and it's so lovely for them to come out and see Father Christmas.
"We were just finishing dinner so we quickly dived out. He (her son) is at that lovely age where Christmas is so magical".
It was amazing the number of people who came out to support the Lions
A big thank you to all those made a donation to the Worthing Lion's bucket collectors who accompanied Santa on the street collections. These donations allow Worthing Lions to support local people and organisations.
