Worthing Lions Wider Organisation

Our Club is not alone! its part of a much larger worldwide organisation, so we define who we are in terms of Zones and Districts and so on.

The Lions Clubs of Worthing; Barnham; Chanctonbury; Lancing & Sompting and Littlehampton together form a Zone.

In fact we are Zone 1C, of District 105-SE.

District is made up of nine Zones comprising seventy three separate Lions Clubs. Twelve other Districts form Multiple District 105, which covers the British Isles and Ireland. Its as simple as that!

Around the World...

Around the world there are 45,000 Lions Clubs, with a grand total of approximately 1.4 million members. Every member has undertaken to live by the Lions motto ‘We Serve’. We aren’t a secret society, we are ordinary people who, acting together, try to achieve amazing things. Together, we are the world’s largest service club organisation.

Our assistance is delivered around the world through our network of members and through the Lions Clubs International Foundation which supports Lions humanitarian projects. Chief among these is Sight First II, the second part of a world-wide project to eliminate the causes of preventable blindness, and to relieve the distress and poverty which unnecessary blindness brings in its wake.
