”Don’t panic!” says Corporal Jones the butcher

Our charity shop, built we think, in 1934-35, was for many years Brays the butchers as evidenced by the large cool, purpose built meat storage area in the basement.

So, although you are not likely to meet Corporal Jones manning the shop you will meet our willing volunteers who are just as attentive to the needs of our customers. Do come into the shop to browse or have a chat and seek out the many bargains on show.

We depend on volunteers to staff our shop. If you would like to become a FRIEND of Worthing Lions or seek membership and help as a shop volunteer we would be delighted to hear from you.

We must gratefully thank an anonymous donor for the small legacy enabling us to create a warm, welcoming, light and spacious goods display space. Another small donation or legacy would be gratefully received, so how about enabling us to extend our many charitable activities when next talking to your Solicitor or trying to be more tax efficient? This small donation has enabled us to multiply its value many times over to the benefit of the community in Worthing.
